History
In 1978 Rene Dubois started Camping 'La Foret'. He bought 30ha of land, which had previously been used as vineyard. With many years of hard labor he and his family turned this rough terrain into a fine campground for those who love the true nature of the Cevennes.
Together the Dubois family has created a small but perfect camping environment. Since it's beginning a great deal of effort has been put into developing a rich vegetation with a wide variety of plants, flowers and trees, which can be found throughout the grounds.
The campground is now owned and managed by Rene's son Marc. After many years of working with his family at 'La Foret' Marc decided to move to the U.S. to pursue his passion for wildlife photography. (We suggest you have a look at some of his work on this site.) His desire for a better quality of life brought him back to France to run the campsite with his wife Jenarda.
Marc and Jenarda invite every nature lover to visit 'la Foret', a place to feel at home with spacious pitches and much to discover and enjoy throughout the Cevennes.
Hikers will enjoy the numerous trails starting directly from the campground. Visitors also will appreciate the fact that English is a native tongue as well as French.
